With over 30 years of experience in managing construction projects for various large-scale companies, Bernard has a wealth of expertise to Arque. He started Arque to make construction projects more personal and cooperative, earning a reputation for finishing contracts on time and within budget, all while being professional and friendly. As a full member of the Chartered Institute of Building, he mixes industry standards with new ideas. In his time off, Bernard enjoys surfing the North coasts of Devon and Cornwall, finding it a refreshing break from his precise professional life.
Nigel Parker
Operations Manager
Navigating operations at Arque since 2016, Nigel brings over 25 years of expertise in managing construction projects with a focused, client-centred approach. Nigel is committed to delivering contracts both on time and within budget. Away from Arque, Nigel participates in marathon running and serves as the Boardroom Host at Exeter City Football Club.
Martyn Phillips
Contracts Manager
With 30 years in the construction industry, including 14 at Arque, Martyn excels at managing small projects and contracts successfully. He knows the industry inside and out and always puts the client first, making sure projects are completed on time, within budget, and exceed expectations. Martyn has top-notch qualifications, including an Advanced Carpentry Certificate and a CITB Construction Site Safety Manager's Certificate. This background helps him manage projects skilfully, ensuring what the client wants is exactly what they get, leading to successful and rewarding projects for everyone involved. Outside of work, he enjoys watching rugby, spending time with loved ones, and caring for the family dog.
JJ Cooper
Contracts Manager
Efficiently managing projects at Arque, JJ integrates exceptional planning and a high level of organisation, a dedication to detail inherited from his work in Aerospace R&D, where precision is key. His detail-oriented approach seamlessly translates into delivering high-value projects across Devon. While his professional successes keep JJ busy, he finds relaxation in the moors and beaches of Devon with his family, and excitement in wakeboarding and skiing. This creates a well-rounded balance between his disciplined work life and valued free time.

Contracts Manager
Rob has spent more than twenty years in construction and is a skilled contracts manager. He's great at managing various projects carefully, always making sure clients are happy. His talent for organising and excellent communication make him stand out. When he's not working, Rob loves rugby and enjoys cycling through Devon's beautiful scenery.

Lloyd brings ten years of experience in estimating and four years in on-site operations, giving him a broad knowledge of different areas of the business. His attention to detail and commitment to accuracy result in high-quality, cost-effective estimates. He's skilled at providing precise cost projections without compromising the quality of the final product. Away from work, Lloyd is passionate about running and is involved with Sandford Football Club.
